Hello, my name is Rachel
I am the owner and thrifty embroideress behind Moonlight Stitches. A small business which came from my wildest dreams and imagination and now along with the help of my daughter, Heather has become my creative reality.
So, what is Moonlight Stitches? I hear you shouting...
We are small UK based slow stitch & embroidery business, where I teach you how to create exquisite, bespoke textile works of art and projects using preloved fabric finds, delicate embellishments and hand embroidery techniques, one meditative stitch at a time, through online and in person workshops, held in the fabulous surroundings of our 300 year old grade 2 listed village church.
A little more about me...
I’m a Mum of two 30 somethings with a background in teaching and a master’s in culinary arts. I live in a small village on the edge of Nottinghamshire, where I spend my days in my eclectic craft studio or when the British weather allows, what I like to call my garden office.

I’m a Grandpawrent to a Maine Coon Charlie, two Rabbits Chester and Carole and last but certainly not least a crazy puppy Reggie – who’s a cross between a border terrier and a toy poodle, I like to say he’s a Batoodle.
The CEO of Moonlight Stitches, Gertrude, can be seen overseeing all activity from her roof top office in the craft studio, often seen helping during the planning and development process of our workshops.
